“Marking the passage of time with these pictures from our child's last day of forest school last week. It was a rainy and muddy day, fitting for these kids, who have spent countless hours outside in all kinds of weather this past year. I teared up as they sang “We are the Kings and Queens of the Forest” and watched my boy proudly accept his certificate. He’s grown in confidence and resilience, developed impressive woodworking projects, learned through direct interaction with nature throughout the changing seasons, experienced the many benefits of emergent child-led learning, and so much more.
